Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Manager to oversee our office operations and ensure the smooth functioning of daily activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting skills and be proficient in various accounting software, including QuickBooks and Quicken. This role is essential for maintaining financial records, managing budgets, and supporting the overall administrative functions of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day office operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in all processes.
  • Oversee financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.
  • Perform general ledger reconciliation and account reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Prepare financial reports and assist in budget preparation.
  • Utilize accounting software to track expenses, revenues, and other financial data.
  • Ensure compliance with governmental accounting standards and practices.
  • Support staff with administrative tasks as needed, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Maintain organized filing systems for both physical and digital documents.

Skills

  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks and Quicken is essential.
  • Strong understanding of financial concepts, including general ledger reconciliation and account reconciliation.
  • Experience as a clerk or in an accounting role is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of governmental accounting practices is a plus.
