Our online store offers a range of plant-oriented products and gifts including plant care accessories, clothing, art prints, books, and more, which are also available on Amazon. The brand also features an engaging website blog where Emily shares her love for home decor, plant care, travel, entrepreneurship, and living a healthy lifestyle.


Happy Girl Club is a vibrant and inclusive social meetup club designed to create a supportive community for women of all ages. Our mission is to foster friendship, empowerment, and happiness among women through a variety of engaging events, activities, and shared experiences.


The Opportunity

A San Diego-based entrepreneur and content creator in the ecommerce, lifestyle and social community building space is seeking an executive/personal assistant to join her team as her first official hire. This will be a multi-faceted role with high potential for growth that requires someone extremely detail-oriented, proactive, resourceful and driven to support a creative business owner. You’ll work closely with the founder and CEO across her current portfolio of businesses (which include Classy Casita and Happy Girl Club) handling administrative and personal tasks. The ideal candidate is excited to take on whatever is necessary, from the big projects to the small errands, interested to learn about entrepreneurship, small business, ecommerce, social media, the creator economy and a desire to grow with the team as the brands evolve and scale.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the founder/CEO, including but not limited to:
  • Order Fulfillment and Inventory Management for Products: Receiving orders, packaging orders, receiving and sending out shipments and keeping stock organized
  • Personal/Exec Support: Scheduling appointments, running errands and personal tasks 
  • Content Creation Support: Assist with shooting and editing video and photo content for influencing and businesses as-needed
  • Event Organizing and Marketing: Collaborate with leadership to plan and organize logistics along with handling event marketing (content creation, e-mail marketing, social media management, etc) for Happy Girl Club events


Qualifications

  • Previous experience as an Executive Assistant or similar administrative role supporting a high-growth founder/CEO; Internship experience and previous entry level experience will as be considered as working experience
  • 1-2 years of experience in social media, marketing, advertising, event coordination or retail-related settings are an asset
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and Excel
  • Experience with social media platforms and editing tools (Capcut), including captivating content creation (Instagram, Tiktok, YouTube)
  • Experience or strong familiarity with online selling or e-commerce platforms such as Amazon, Shopify and Faire are helpful
  • Experience with project management tools such as Asana are helpful, but not required
  • This is a hybrid role so we require that this candidate be based in San Diego, CA
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds such as carrying product boxes
  • Relocation not provided


Ability to Commute:

  • Valid driver’s license and car required
  • Need to be able to commute to San Diego, CA (92120) weekly  


Pay: $20 per hour

Expected hours: 20-28 hours per week
