Columbia Basin College ("CBC" or the "College") seeks a Program Support Supervisor 1 to independently plan, organize and coordinate the day-to-day operational activities in support of the Arts, Humanities, & Communication Department. This position assists in the work of budgets, data collection and reporting, payroll, information services and institutional collaboration. This position reports to the Dean for Arts, Humanities & Communication.

- Oversee day-to-day operations of the division by establishing work priorities, ensuring deadlines are met; Assist in developing and implementing new procedures and use independent judgment to apply rules and regulations;
- Assist in coordinating meetings, events, and conferences related to division activities; Schedule appointments, maintain interoffice calendars, and support staff in meeting planning; Represent the division in meetings, promote its activities on and off campus, and participate in committees to support program goals;
- Monitor, maintain, and reconcile program budgets to ensure alignment with plans and priorities. Process funds, approve expenditures with leadership, assist in preparing grants and financial reports, and advise the Director on budget status and needed corrective actions;
- Advise students, staff, program participants, and the public regarding program content, policies, and activities; Provide guidance on alternative courses of action and ensure communication aligns with institutional policies and procedures;
- Oversee the preparation of reports, publications, and promotional materials and maintain program documentation; Utilize advanced computer skills for word processing, graphics, spreadsheets, databases, and statistical analyses;
- Coordinate the scheduling and maintenance of departmental equipment and oversee the operation of associated programs;
- Interview and recommend selection of classified applicants; train, assign and schedule work, act upon leave requests, conduct annual performance evaluations, and recommend disciplinary action for permanent employees;
- Assist the Director in supervising student workers and paraprofessionals, tracking hours, processing payroll, and reconciling payroll expenditures;
- Interact with faculty, staff, parents, volunteers, and students from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds; Represent the division in meetings and collaborate with other departments to enhance program visibility and effectiveness; and
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent; and
- Three (3) years of administrative support experience working in position(s) such as an administrative assistant, secretary, program coordinator, program support or related field.

Equivalent education/experience.

This position is a full-time classified staff position. This position is overtime eligible and the typical work hours are Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.; however, must be available to work a flexible schedule when prior notice is given by the College. This position is available immediately.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, bend, kneel, stoop, communicate, reach and manipulate objects. Manual dexterity and coordination are required to operate equipment such as computer keyboard, calculator, and standard office equipment.
