Intake Specialist

**Job Summary** We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Intake Specialist to join our home healthcare team. The Intake Specialist will be responsible for managing patient information, scheduling appointments, and verifying insurance details to enhance patient service and support overall office management.**Duties** - Initiate phone calls to patients and their families, guiding them through the intake process and ensuring a welcoming experience. - Collect and verify patient information, including medical history and insurance details. - Utilize electronic medical record systems for accurate data entry and management of health information. - Schedule home healthcare visits efficiently, considering patient needs and availability. - Conduct insurance verification to confirm coverage and benefits prior to appointments. - Maintain accurate records in compliance with relevant coding standards and regulations. - Collaborate with home healthcare staff to streamline operations and improve patient service. - Address patient inquiries and concerns promptly, providing exceptional customer service. - Assist in managing health information to ensure confidentiality and compliance with regulations. **Requirements** - Previous experience in a home healthcare or similar healthcare setting is preferred. - Strong knowledge of office management practices and procedures. - Familiarity with electronic health record systems is advantageous. - Understanding of healthcare coding and health information management principles. - Proficient in scheduling processes with attention to detail. - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on patient service. - Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while effectively managing multiple tasks. - Strong organizational skills with an emphasis on accuracy in data handling. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.05 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 35 per week
