What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Administration Assistant position at Concrete Technology Corporation?
Concrete Technology Corporation is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Admin to support our Human Resources department. This role will be crucial in maintaining employee records, organizing employee events, and assisting with HR operations. Reporting directly to the HR Manager, the HR Admin will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day functioning of HR activities.
Typically this job will be IN PERSON Monday - Friday from 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM with occasional weekend work for special events. Hours may vary depending on department needs.
Key Responsibilities:
HRIS/Data Management:
- Record and track employee attendance, including disciplinary action when necessary.
- Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS system.
- Enter new employee information into the HRIS and update details as required.
- Track employee anniversaries and coordinate personalized cards for the President’s signature.
- Maintain the departmental filing system.
- Assist with Kronos scheduling and foremen assignment.
- Provide support and training for employees using HRIS systems
Employee Events and Communication:
- Assist in planning and coordinating employee events, including the annual Holiday Party, Summer Picnic, Veterans Day Luncheon, and other company celebrations.
- Write and solicit articles for the quarterly newsletter, specifically for the Human Resources section.
- Coordinate bulletin board updates in various company buildings.
- Take photographs of new hires and document HR-related events.
Administrative Support:
- Greet and assist visitors, applicants, and salespeople.
- Maintain HR office supplies and place orders as needed.
- Organize and prepare the HR classroom for meetings, onboarding, and presentations.
o Perform messenger/mail services as needed across company buildings.
- Other Duties:
- Provide administrative support to the HR team as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the smooth operation of the HR department and related functions.
Special Notes and Conditions:
- Occasional travel required to different company locations.
- Some work may take place in the concrete manufacturing plant.
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in business or equivalent work experience preferred.
- SHRM-CP certification preferred.
- Valid driver’s license/insurance required.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems (experience with UKG is a plus).
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Experience with employee events and internal communications is a plus.
