Ministry Function
With the goal of strengthening the local church, the Community Engagement Distribution Coordinator supports the ministry of Convoy of Hope by assisting with requests for supply loads for distribution, training, and managing resources for Community Engagement.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Communicates and engages with partners as well as the Community Engagement team.
- Assists in processing order requests and other electronic communications via texts, phone, and email.
- Assists with ensuring tax documentation and Partner Agreements are current for the hundreds of churches nationwide that this role services.
- Assists with accuracy of reporting associated with the distribution of Community Engagement loads.
- Assists with maximizing Procurement offers in a timely manner.
- Works with Fulfillment, Supply Chain, and Transportation teams to provide excellent service to partner agencies and organizations.
- Fulfills all other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Two or more years of compassion ministry experience is preferred.
- Displays excellent verbal and written communication skills for adequately conveying the work of Convoy of Hope to outside constituencies.
- Possesses ability to use a PC/Mac and software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Word and Excel, Monday.com, Salesforce, and Google Workspace.
- Exhibits organization skills at the level needed to effectively coordinate multiple tasks, requests, and correspondence on behalf of team and projects.
- Demonstrates excellent interpersonal communication skills for dealing with teammates, pastors, partners, and volunteers.
- Attends and actively participates in Convoy of Hope At Home Week meetings and activities as a required responsibility to the organization and fellow team members.
- Serves as an advocate for the ministry, striving to nurture, broaden, and develop financial and other resource opportunities to support and expand organizational and program ministry.
- Positively represents the ministry of Convoy of Hope, including its mission statement and core values, to all outside constituencies.
- As a Christian organization, Convoy of Hope believes it is critical that team members embrace the organization’s religious purposes for which it exists and not only agree with its Statement of Faith but demonstrate it in their lives on an ongoing basis.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position may supervise volunteers.
28 hours
