Position Summary and Purpose Our shift towards Demand is consistently applied across our operating model and is at the core of our annual Brand growth strategy. The Manager, Market & Consumer Intelligence will support Corby’s overall business strategy by providing recommendations grounded in both market opportunities and the voice of the consumer. Specifically you will: Act as internal advocate for demand space strategy by understanding consumer occasions, and using this lens to guide the organization (including both Marketing and Commercial teams) from portfolio strategy through to consumer journeys (path to purchase) Support business planning and forecasting by articulating consumer behaviour and market opportunities, including relevant consumer and product trends, whitespace opportunities and competitive analysis Act as the voice of the consumer throughout the organization, providing fact-based recommendations based on consumer and shopper insights Support Corby by bringing best in class solutions, tools, thought leadership and insights from a variety of sources including Pernod Ricard global teams and external partners Lead campaign evaluation from a consumer insights point of view, working with our Marketing Effectiveness team to tell the complete story on campaign performance and making recommendations for future plans Primary Responsibilities Contribute to Corby’s portfolio prioritization vision and implementation. Monitor against key battleground KPIs and provide optimization recommendations as required Refreshing demand space work as needed, while working to integrate demand space strategy across the organization. This includes ensuring brand, communication and innovation strategies are centered on winning in key demand spaces, while working with commercial teams to integrate consumer journeys learnings into our strategy to win at the point of purchase Develop consumer occasion and channel playbooks that provide actionable, specific guidance on how to win with consumers, including identification of touchpoints that support both brand building and conversion driving initiatives Monthly market overviews on consumer behaviour and industry opportunities, support Sales forecasting Conduct consumer and shopper research including methodological recommendations, scoping, designing, running studies and reporting of data across a variety of tools and vendors Support Corby’s consumer and shopper insights function across brand equity tracking, concept testing, creative testing, campaign evaluation, social listening / share of search, shopper panel data, competitive ad spend and more Using path to purchase study, provide guidance on media and channel strategy within brand plans Lead Canadian Whisky forecasting initiative, working cross functionally with brand marketing, sales, export and operations teams to ensure proper planning of whisky stocks Key Competencies and Experience Strategic thinker that can think big, drive vision and strategy while also distilling actionable outputs simply for teams to execute against Strong communicator and presenter that can galvanize teams around fact based insights Strong capacity to energize groups and bring stakeholders together to collaborate Strong organizational and planning skills, forward thinker Thinks laterally about data, integrating various inputs into a holistic view.
