Core Molding Technologies, Inc. a leading engineering materials company operating in 3 country's is far from ordinary. Our organization is expanding and we are looking to hire 2nd shift (2pm-10pm) and 3rd shift (10pm-6am) Production Operators for our Columbus, Oh location. Excellent wages, bonus, benefits, matching 401K plan. The pay will be up to 20.60/HR depending on the position.
Summary:
The Production Operator will perform duties as necessary to prepare fiber-glass reinforced components for assembly. Operation of press to manufacture parts from sheet molding compound including deflash and sanding of parts as required.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Follows work instructions to produce molded parts.
- Cuts and weighs charges, maintain mold conditions for the quality of parts, and operates presses.
- Removes molded parts from the press and using an orbital hand sander and utility knife to deflash (remove excess fiberglass) the edges of the parts then load parts. Other functions may include using drill fixtures, preparing WIP for storage, labeling baskets, segregating rework or non-conforming material.
- Maintains production records and uses production reporting systems.
- Coordinates press manpower for productivity.
- Communicates between other molders, quality auditors, Supervisors, and Mold Technicians for critical quality and productivity issues including equipment issues.
- Performs quality checks on parts.
- Manages IMC and mold release.
- Follows all required safety standards, wears appropriate PPE for job activities and maintains production equipment in proper and safe working order.
- Cleans and maintains working area to promote safety and efficiency.
- And any other duties assigned.
Requirements:
· Be able to perform varying amount of activities including include bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting/turning up to 8 hours per day.
· Able to use a Hand tools on a frequent basis
