Job Description:
A leading publicly traded media and telecommunications company seeks a Senior Manager – Data Governance & Business Process to develop and implement a comprehensive data governance program across the organization.
The Senior Manager will be responsible for defining and establishing governance standards to improve data accuracy and confidence in decision-making. They will also manage functional business participation in data governance activities, including establishment of data definitions, business rules, data quality rules, and data accountability.
In addition, the Senior Manager will provide internal process review and support in operational areas as assigned by Senior Management. They will monitor, review, and assess processes to ensure management controls are effective, lead engagements, and present findings to Senior Management.
The Senior Manager will create and maintain critical enterprise documentation and coordinate with SVP and VP contacts to ensure capture of ongoing business updates.
Key Qualifications:
- 5 years auditing background in public accounting or internal audit
- 5 years management experience within a large customer service organization
- 5 years of experience in project planning and operational analysis
The ideal candidate will have a strong background working in sales, call center, or billing environments, fostering relationships and procedures that benefit both operational groups and annual goals. They must be able to quickly understand complex systems, applications, and business processes, demonstrating a strong ability to communicate and facilitate best practices.
Critical competencies include teamwork, integrity, flexibility, stress tolerance, and a concern for excellence. A strong working knowledge of flowchart creation using Visio is also essential.
