As a large health care continuum with multiple campuses, soon to be adding more, we are restructuring our HR Department to prepare for the future. The incumbent of this role will oversee our team of dedicated HR staff, while working collaboratively with Department Managers across all sites. The Executive Director of HR will join our Executive Leadership Team and will play an integral role in successful growth of the organization.

Job Summary
- Oversee Human Resource policies, procedures, practices and staff
- Recruitment and Onboarding of employees
- Management of Applicant Tracking System
- Employee safety (recordkeeping, claim management, and committee participation)
- Employee benefits administration
- Collaborate with Department Managers to create successful strategies to continuously improve recruitment and retention
- Represent Country Manor at off-campus events as HR Executive
- Build systems and processes to ensure smooth onboarding and acclimation of new hires, while providing necessary supports for Department Managers
- Employment law compliance
- Involvement in employee relations, including exit interviews, etc. as necessary
- Ensure successful infiltration of Country Manor’s long-standing mission and culture into the HR department and all new recruits
- Employer Personnel Statistical Analysis/Reporting
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
- Proven experience in Human Resources, preferably in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of best Human Resource practices, employment legislation and regulations.
- Exceptional leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to think critically, creatively, and offer solutions-based problem-solving skills.

- In-depth knowledge of Federal, State and local employment laws
- Broad knowledge of group insurance plans, retirement plans, compensation and benefits administration and other related areas.
- Broad knowledge of marketing, with a commitment to work collaboratively with Executive Director of Marketing/PR to uphold established Country Manor brand.
- Demonstrated organizational skills in handling, directing and prioritizing multiple and complex assignments/projects and maintaining records.
- Demonstrated exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written; with the ability to clearly draft employee communications.
- Demonstrated effective supervisory, interpersonal and leadership skills; ability to work independently with little direction.
- Demonstrated experience in establishing, managing and delivering human resources processes, procedures and projects.
- Demonstrated experience and familiarity with social media.
- Demonstrated experience in managing a high-volume workflow office.
- Demonstrated experience of working effectively in a team environment with a customer service focus.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions; and effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or board members.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the community.
- Skilled in resolving conflicts and mediating disputes.
- Administration and supervision of all Human Resource Activities; including but not limited to employment, classification and pay, equal employment opportunity, Family and Medical Leave, Affordable Care Act, affirmative action, employee benefits, training and employee relations.
- Creating and implementing Human Resource policies and activities for the organization.
- Manage the Human Resource staff and work collaboratively with directors for employee-related initiatives, from recruitment to exit interviews.
- Ensure smooth operation of the Human Resource department, including staffing, benefits, compensation, training and labor relations and review trends.
- Plans, coordinates and implements employee benefits with collaboration of directors for assistance programs, supplemental health, and retirement plans.
- Plans, directs, and assesses employee orientation, compliance training and professional development with collaboration of organization directors.
- Works in collaboration with the Director of Risk Management and other managers to implement employee safety programs to assure a safe work plan and minimize risk and liability to the corporation.
- Ensures that management maintains appropriate hiring practices. Ensures supervisors/managers are selecting and/or rejecting applicants in conformance with legal requirements.
- Plans and leads strategic direction for employee recruitment plans, manages recruitment efforts and activities; advises management and supervisors of best method of filling vacancies.
- Work in collaboration to develops strategic initiatives to continuously approve recruitment, and decrease turnover; with ability to manage and evolve with ever-changing industry hiring needs.
- Counsels employees, supervisors, and management in the grievance and disciplinary process.
- Oversees coordination the employee compensation program and directs salary surveys.
- Ensures the Employee Handbook is up-to-date according to corporate and legal requirements.
