Division: Chesterfield/Corporate
Basic Function: Preparation of financial statements and balance sheets. Reconciliations of revenue, expense, and payroll accounts.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Processes A/P invoices and disbursement process including:

- Receive and process invoices
- Obtain approvals for invoices and other expenditures
- Verify transactions comply with policies and procedures
- Process and distribute payments
- Obtain and reconcile vendor statements
- Maintain physical and electronic A/P files
- Respond to vendor requests for payment status, discrepancy resolution
- Prepare daily cash reports.
- Prepare journal entries, general ledger analysis, and reconciliations.
- Maintain Fixed Assets and Note payables schedules.
- Analyze equipment cost and purchases for potential capitalization.
- Maintain loan amortization schedule and record monthly loan payments for equipment.
- Reconciles various accounts including cash, revenue, expense, payroll, etc.
- As directed performs tasks associated with month-end/year-end accounting processes.
- Responsible for accurate and timely completion of assigned work in processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other accounting functions.
- Follows A/P systems, policies, procedures, and practices, to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to company guidelines.
- Assist with yearly Audits.
- Assist in 1099s.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting and minimum of 2 years related work experience. Prior experience in construction industry preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Experience working with GAAP and accounting software (Viewpoint preferred).
- Highly proficient computer skills including advanced knowledge of Excel.
- Must be capable of producing reports and associated paperwork accurately and efficiently.
- Highly organized, ability to identify problems and develop/present/implement appropriate resolution, self-motivated, takes ownership of their work and performs in a proactive manner.
- Team player with ability to participate in planning processes and work with others to meet goals and objectives.
- Must thrive on challenge; being able to stay motivated, adaptable, and resilient when faced with stressful situations.

Physical Demands:
- This position requires significant work at a desk, but also requires walking, talking, standing as needed to meet with employees, participate in meetings, etc.
- Requires lifting up to 20 pounds (files/computers/etc.) and bending (most frequently related to filing).
- Ability to answer phones to assist both internal and external customers.
- Works extended hours as workload and deadlines dictate.
- Ability to work well while under considerable stress/pressure.
