What are the responsibilities and job description for the Creative Director - Video, Global Branding position at Creative Circle?

Our client is establishing an in-house video agency and is in search of a highly creative Associate Creative Director/Creative Director to enhance their video creative quality and process. The goal is to produce high-quality, impactful brand films that set the industry standard. The work will encompass various formats, including traditional ads, social media content, web content, and more, all while maintaining a consistent, high-caliber look and tone. The projects will primarily focus on patient-centered, person-centered, and humanity-centered videos.

This is a remote role that plans to start in May 2025. We estimate is a minimum of 20 per week, but there may be ebb and flow up to 30.

Position Primary Goals: The newly built in-house video studio aims to elevate the creative level to align with the new brand. They need a highly creative video expert to consult, ensure brand consistency, and drive the quality of videos, with the primary initial project consisting of a Playbook for video process, standards, guidelines and how to work with external agencies. This candidate will collaborate with internal teams on requests and connect them with agency partners for production, guiding those partners to ensure they meet the brand and creative vision's high standards for all internal and external communications videos company-wide.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance on the in-house video team's Playbook, guiding internal teams on how to achieve the highest of quality aligned to the brand.
  • Assisting in refining process when a video request comes in such as a video content calendar, creative brief for new requests, partnering with external agencies, etc.
  • Lead the creative direction and production of high-quality video content, including brand films, social media shorts (TikTok, Reels, website videos, etc.), and short documentary-style videos. The internal team has a primary background of broadcast, so you will bring a shorter form angle to ensure an event or project isn't just captured, but considerations on what needs to be captured for modular content and cross channel delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the creative vision is aligned with overall brand strategy and goals.
  • Oversee all stages of video production, from concept development to final delivery, ensuring consistency in quality and tone.
  • Provide creative guidance and mentorship to team members and external partners.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously elevate our video content.
  • Support the team lead with a creation of their internal clearing house system for video production for internal and external projects.
  • Ensure projects are aligned to appropriate agency partners based on their strengths for different types of videos.
  • Assist in the development of a playbook for each video approach (e.g., press conferences, patient-focused videos).
  • Ensure all video projects adhere closely to brand standards and maintain consistency.
  • Handle creative direction for video content for corporate events such as leadership town halls.
  • Manage the insourcing and outsourcing of video production.
  • Support the build a modern video capability within the organization.

Must Haves

  • 8 years of experience leading transformative video projects.
  • Proven experience in creating high-quality brand films and video content across social, web and advertising.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in mood and tone in video projects
  • Ability to adapt to different video styles, including TikTok/Reels shorts and documentary-style videos, while maintaining a consistent brand look.
  • Experience defining the process and workflow of a video / agency function.
  • Excellent leadership and project management skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Passion for storytelling and creating impactful visual content.
  • Experience working on top-tier creative projects with big agencies and brands Nice to Haves:
  • Familiarity with Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign (though not hands-on).
  • Experience with brands known for highly emotive stories
  • Bonus: Global branded experience!
