We seek a Payroll Specialist to support and oversee our payroll and human resources functions at Advanced Integrated Service, ensuring that pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government and AIS human resources policy and regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversees payroll procedures and processes; manages inquiries and requests related to preparation and distribution of payroll for AIS.
- Processes payroll transactions including salaries, bonuses, commissions, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
- Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
- Assists and ultimately manages payroll integrations with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness.
- Coordinates all payroll tax information with the third-party payroll administrator (UKG) and ensures accuracy and timeliness of filings.
- Maintains or oversees the maintenance of employee human resources records.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices, and stays current on changes.
- Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
- Identifies and recommends updates to payroll software, systems, and procedures.
- Address employee payroll-related and Human Resources inquiries and ensure a high level of internal customer service.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field required.
- Proficient with payroll software, UKG Pro a plus!
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in payroll processing and human resources generalist duties with experience in a supervisory or management role preferred.
- Experience with administration of payroll tax.
- Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll and Human Resources best practices.
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing across all levels of the organization in a clear and concise manner. Strong service-oriented approach and collaborative mindset.
- Possesses strong analytical, organization and time management skills, driving tasks to completion.
- Maintain integrity and confidentiality of sensitive information.
Compensation and Benefits:
