We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Front of House Manager who will also serve as the Lead Host, ensuring that hospitality is the cornerstone of our service.

Position: Front of House Manager & Lead Host

Role Overview:
As the Front of House Manager, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the high standards of service that Cucina Toscana is known for. You will be the first and last impression for our guests, setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience from start to finish. In addition to managing the host station, you will circulate the dining floor, ensuring that guests are delighted and that our service team is operating smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Host Duties:
  • Greet and welcome guests with warmth and professionalism, setting the tone for their dining experience.
  • Manage reservations and ensure optimal seating arrangements to maximize guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee the host station, ensuring that it is organized, welcoming, and operating efficiently.
  • Front of House Management:
  • Circulate through the dining area regularly, engaging with guests to ensure their satisfaction and addressing any concerns promptly.
  • Monitor and support servers and front-of-house staff, providing guidance and ensuring adherence to service standards.
  • Conduct end-of-shift checkouts for servers, reviewing sales, tips, and ensuring all tasks are completed to standard.
  • Create and manage staff schedules, balancing the needs of the restaurant with those of the team.
  • Train, mentor, and develop front-of-house staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and exceptional service.
  • Ensure that the dining room is always presented at its best, with attention to cleanliness, ambiance, and overall guest comfort.
  • Operational Duties:
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure seamless service flow and communication between front and back of house.
  • Handle guest complaints and feedback with grace, turning challenges into opportunities to enhance the guest experience.
  • Manage inventory of front-of-house supplies, including menus, promotional materials, and service tools.
  • Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for both guests and staff.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a high-end restaurant environment, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role.
  • Exceptional hospitality skills, with a genuine passion for creating memorable guest experiences.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on training and staff development.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in reservation and POS systems, with strong administrative capabilities.

Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 per week
