D.A. Collins Companies is committed to excellence in civil construction and is seeking a skilled Laborer to join our team. As a Laborer, you will be responsible for performing various tasks on our heavy construction projects.
The successful candidate will have excellent physical abilities, including the ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in potentially adverse field conditions. They must also be able to follow safety rules, regulations, and procedures.
A high school diploma or GED is preferred, and the candidate must pass a pre-hire drug screen and have a valid driver's license. Current OSHA 10 card holders are also preferred.
**Key Responsibilities:***
Perform roadside landscaping work such as clearing weeds and brush
Shovel, pour, and spread asphalt, concrete, and other materials
Dump, spread, and tamp asphalt to repair joints and patch broken pavement
Maintain a clean job site by picking up tools and equipment and securing the area each day
Lubricate, clean, and possibly repair machinery, equipment, and tools
Load and unload trucks and haul and hoist materials
Work long hours when required, some weekends, and possible night work
