What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Support Analyst 2nd Shift position at DCI?

DCI Hollow Metal is a custom manufacturer of commercial hollow metal doors and frames. The responsibility of the IT Support Analyst is to provide technical & application support to the office staff and for the manufacturing shop floor at all DCI locations. The IT Support Analyst’s role is highly visible as it is the face of IT to our end users at DCI. Our goal is to properly identify and categorize incoming issues and either resolve or provide a temporary work around to keep our production flow moving. Quick escalation for resolution, tracking and communication is required through the satisfactory completion of an issue. Keeping our systems highly available and supporting our business at all locations across all shifts, while providing top notch Customer Service and minimal disruption is the mission.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Troubleshoot applications used by the business in the office and production floor, while providing top notch Customer Service to DCI
  • Monitoring applications/system for any irregularities; troubleshoot as needed
  • Provide End User support for hardware and applications as required
  • Set up new devices, users and technologies as needed
  • Managing support issues by tracking them in ticketing system
  • Participate in daily support meetings keeping the business informed of the status of all support issues, escalating as appropriate
  • Manage vendors to provide long term solutions to regularly recurring problems so daily operations are reliable and efficient (continuous improvement)
  • Document problem resolution procedure to be cross trained and shared with the IT Team
  • Providing reporting and data support
  • Managing vendors for printer service as needed and appropriate
  • Maintaining and updating technical and instruction manuals, policies, and procedures
  • Assure the preservation of assets and data, by closely monitoring, IT reports, logs, to ensure proper management of backups, security, license tracking and compliance, device tracking, patching, capacity monitoring and end of life planning to ensure the overall health of the IT infrastructure
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2- or 4-year technical degree or equivalent blend certification and experience required
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale), 3.5 is desired
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite & MS O365 required
  • Experience with AD required
  • Previous application support required
  • Ability to work quickly with developers to respond to production issues
  • Demonstrated successful desktop, server, network, communications hands-on support
  • Demonstrated Customer Service skills
  • Ability to communicate and teach non-technical individuals how to use the technology
  • Ability to work effectively as an individual and directing work of vendors with minimal direction
  • Strong team player, with proven skills working effectively with people at all levels within an organization
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Detail oriented, analytical, and inquisitive
  • Extremely organized with strong time-management skills
  • Previous experience working for an IT Support Services Team or Help Desk preferred
  • Experience with supporting Microsoft .NET applications preferred
  • Experience with supporting Microsoft Power BI & SQL SSRS preferred
  • Experience with supporting Cisco network preferred, CCNA a plus
  • Experience with VXRail or VMWare preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
