We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable IT Support professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, and software. The IT Support specialist will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our IT infrastructure and ensuring that all systems operate smoothly.
I. GENERAL SUMMARY:
· The information technology (IT) support specialist is a generalist position devoted to all aspects of computer set-up, installation, troubleshooting, service, upgrades, and maintenance. The position can also include handling how computers connect to each other or the rest of the network; printing, both locally and on the network; and auxiliary devices such as tablets, PDAs, and smartphones. The job duties can be performed remotely from a central location, in the customer's work environment, or in a combination of the two. The position may require some physical activity such as lifting and moving computer equipment into place or crawling in tight spaces.
· The IT support specialist must be knowledgeable in all aspects of computer support (diligent and analytical). They also must possess outstanding communication skills. The IT support specialist is not only a technical worker but often deals directly with the customer; offering advice, training, solutions, and guidance. The position is employed in many types of companies as internal support for computers and networks. Hours can range from regular business hours, to around the clock, to "on-call" duty.
II. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Maintain and troubleshoot devices, systems, hardware, and software.
- Document system performance, bugs, debugging, and program requirements.
- Follow maintenance protocols to ensure systems are secure and ready for users.
- Lead design and deployment of workstations, directories, wireless, and personal devices.
III. JOB REQUIREMENTS:
A. JOB KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
· At least 2 years of experience working with implementation of Microsoft systems.
· General knowledge of Microsoft Office, Active Directory, & Windows 7/10 OS.
· Ability to collaborate across functions / teams internally and externally including business users and leadership, as well as, technical resources.
· Reliable transportation needed for on-site repairs.
· Self-motivated and needs minimal insight when working.
B. QUALIFICATIONS:
· High School Graduate required.
· College related degree in Computer Science
· Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) is required.
· 1 years of experience in Information Technology, with at least 3 months at Help Desk Support Level 1
· Good organizational, communication, and analytical skills
C. EXPERIENCE:
· Experience in a Medical Office setting is a plus.
· Experience in call-center or related industry preferred.
· Experience in any EMR/PM software.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
