Job Title: Medical Receptionist
Reports To: Patient Services Supervisor
Status: Non-exempt
Pay: DOE
Responsibilities:
Provides superior customer service to all customers, internal and external, by demonstrating the following values: Patient Care Comes First, Respect, Confidentiality, and Professionalism. This position is within the hub of the patient experience and must demonstrate calmness, compassion, and a positive attitude while prioritizing the multiple demands of the position as an integrated team member.
Job Duties:
Efficiently manages appointment scheduling and balancing of the daily schedule.
Manages phones and emails in a fast-paced environment.
Answers and logs all in and outward phone calls.
Transfers phone calls and provides phone messages to appropriate staff.
Collects co-pay/co-ins from patients.
Processes incoming faxes.
Works with and facilitates medical records requests and referrals.
Must have detailed knowledge of all clinic services.
Executes daily operational tasks assigned by management.
Follows up on patient inquiries.
Schedules appointments for new and established patients.
Uses problem solving skills to implement solutions and escalate unresolved problems.
Complies with national Protected Health Information (PHI) laws including HIPAA.
Education: High school diploma or GED. Some college helpful.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum two years of experience with multiple-phone lines.
- Minimum two years customer service/ front desk experience in a medical setting.
- Knowledge of third-party payer reimbursement policies and procedures.
- Ability to operate computers and other office equipment.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
