Position purpose
The Director of Revenue Cycle is responsible for overseeing the Billing & Coding Department and ensures claims, denial, and appeals are efficiently processed. The Director of Revenue Cycle implements policies and procedures to optimize the revenue cycle and ensure compliance. The Director of Revenue Cycle supervises day-to-day operations and provides development opportunities, training, and mentorship.
Role and Responsibilities
- Leads, manages, and is accountable for the Billing & Coding Department.
- Audits the Billing & Coding Department monthly for accuracy and compliance.
- Provides timely, accurate and complete reports on the operational condition of the department.
- Develops strategies to improve and accelerate the revenue cycle process.
- Executes annual external audit and updates policies based on results.
- Ensures the team effectively manages insurance AR and denials.
- Performs additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree.
- 5-7 years' experience in a management role in a similar field.
- Certified Professional Biller and/or Certified Professional Coder.
- Strong leadership and management skills to effectively lead the team.
