- Leadership and Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of demand planners, ensuring performance goals are met and that team members have the resources needed to succeed. Foster an environment that promotes continuous learning and process improvement.
- Forecast Model Development: Oversee the development of effective forecast models, using industry trends, sales data, and demand patterns. Leverage advanced analytics to continuously refine models and improve accuracy.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering, production, procurement, and materials management teams to drive priorities for part releases, build sequencing, and component deliveries. Ensure alignment across departments to achieve demand planning objectives.
- Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Proactively manage risk assessments and mitigation activities within the supply chain. Collaborate with senior leadership to identify potential risks and develop strategic solutions to minimize disruption.
- Forecast Accuracy Improvement: Identify and implement solutions to enhance demand forecast accuracy, using both quantitative and qualitative insights. Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the demand planning process.
- Communication and Reporting: Provide clear and concise communication of demand forecasts and inventory estimations to senior leadership. Ensure reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) are delivered on time, and provide insights into forecast accuracy, product availability, and demand shifts.
- Change Management: Manage change initiatives related to demand planning, including the introduction of new products and the phasing out of legacy models. Ensure the demand planning team adapts efficiently to organizational changes.
- Monitoring & Reporting: Monitor and report on key demand planning metrics, including forecast accuracy, demand shifts, and on-time product deliveries. Ensure continuous improvement in forecasting performance.
- Operational Forecast Maintenance: Conduct and oversee monthly maintenance of forecast models, ensuring they are in line with evolving business goals and market conditions.
- SOP's Development: Create and deploy demand planning SOP's in collaboration with and buy-in from Engineering, manufacturing, and procurement. This includes development and deployment of a S&OP process led by planning for all internal stakeholders.
- Issue Resolution: Address demand-related issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field
- Proven experience in demand planning, supply chain management, or a related field with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership position, including direct reports
- Strong analytical and data modeling skills with at least 5 years of experience in demand analytics, forecast modeling, and raw material resource planning
- Proficiency with demand planning tools and software
- Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, including senior leadership
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and collaborating across multiple departments
- Experience leading demand planning analysts
- Strong knowledge of demand planning software and inventory management systems
- Experience with Oracle Cloud ERP/MRP systems preferred
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Effective communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Passion for innovation and sustainability
- Master's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field
