What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Payable Administrator position at DMI Companies?
DMI Companies is seeking a reliable and precise professional to help us properly maintain our payable information. The Accounts Payable Administrator will maintain current accounts and be responsible for all payments of goods and services. The ideal experienced candidate is an individual who can analyze expense reports to assign payments to the proper cost centers, work with vendors and internal departments to resolve discrepancies and to compile and maintain accounts payable records.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Process vendor invoices, including review for appropriate documentation and approval into computer system.
- Maintain all Accounts Payable reports, spreadsheets and corporate Accounts Payable files.
- Coordinate preparation and distribution of all payment requests.
- Ensure that all payments are properly coded to the correct account.
- Administer Concur expense reporting process.
- Assist in monthly closings.
- Prepare analysis of accounts, as required.
- Research vendor statements and discrepancies.
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders in a courteous and professional manner.
- Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.
EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES
- Previous Accounts Payable experience preferred.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong organizational ability
- Effective communication skills that can be adapted to the audience.
- Ability to consistently meet all deadlines.
EDUCATION
- High school education required.
- Associate degree or higher in Business, Accounting or Finance a plus.
