I'm assisting a well-funded startup in the compensation planning space with their search for Founding Staff Engineers. Their products allow growing companies to create equitable and sustainable comp plans as they scale. This role will primarily work onsite in the SF office (with some remote flexibility).
Current company tech stack :
Python backend (primarily Django) with Postgres
Clerk for authentication
Merge for integrations with ATS and HRIS systems
React frontend
Unified GraphQL API
Hosted on Render (Services, Workers) and Vercel (Frontend)
GitHub, Graphite, Slack, Notion, Linear
What you'll do :
- Become tech lead on various projects
- Own products from end to end
- Help to build an engineering culture from scratch
What you'll bring :
Professional experience in a fullstack role
Customer-obsessed, and able to incorporate customer feedback into the product
Experience working at scale
