Electrical Project Administrator
Electrical Contractor located in Dundalk, Maryland performing work primarily for institutional and government agencies is seeking a Project Administrator with 2-4 years’ experience within the Construction Industry.
Ideal candidate has a working knowledge of construction life cycle. They will be self-motivated, organized, reliable, proactive, and detail oriented. Must show resourcefulness when presented with obstacles and be a team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
General Duties include:
- Provide direct support to Project Manager with project, from Project Startup through Close out. Maintain project documentation and assist with maintaining and meeting key project milestones.
- Assist with and coordinate follow up of project Documentation, data entry, scheduling, and filing.
- Proven ability to prioritize effectively and handle multiple jobs simultaneously.
- Assist with preparation and tracking of all RFI's, change order, submittal and document (drawing) control logs.
- Prepare and maintain required logs and other project documentation for construction meetings.
- Responsible for accurate and timely contract submittals.
- Responsible for creating and issuing the Subcontractors’ contracts.
- Responsible for the assembly and timely delivery of the Owner and Maintenance Manuals.
- Ensure that the project quality control plan is in effect and followed.
- Interacts with Subcontractors to make certain that we have obtained the correct documentation and drawings for the Owner and Maintenance Manuals.
- Represent company/project in meetings with client, subcontractors, etc.
- Cooperate with and technically assist, field personnel assigned to area of responsibility.
- Responsible for creating the Job Information Sheets and establishing/maintaining Job Files.
Education and Experience:
- Construction administration: 3 years (Preferred)
- Solid level knowledge of Microsoft Office: 2 years (Required)
- Advanced knowledge of Excel (e.g. ability to create spreadsheets and formulas a plus
- Solid knowledge of Bluebeam or Adobe Pro to open, convert and edit PDF files.
- High School diploma (Required). Construction Management degree a plus.
