Responsibilities:
The Accounts Receivable Billing Coordinator tasks include accounts receivable follow-up with outstanding Medicaid Claims, social security checks, rent and responsible for all outstanding agency revenues. Performs all tasks necessary to achieve the Agencys mission and growth plans. Responsible for customer service and the timely billing and collection of Medicaid Claims etc.,
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Using initiative proactively identifies problems and assists with solving payment and business office issues.
- Independently discusses with Accounting Coordinator, Comptroller and Chief Financial Officer details concerning Agency Revenues.
- Review and process accounts receivable revenues for the New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania offices.
- Independently and regularly communicates directly with Comptroller, Chief Financial Officer and Executive Officer of the Agency.
- Maintains a working knowledge of all states billing regulations.
- Review for accuracy purposes billing sheets submitted by the management of the Agency programs and will ensure that the billing is processed timely and accurately.
- Review and resolve all remittances for all Medicaid denials associated with billings
- Ensure that billing is being processed with the appropriate rates
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
- Submit a reports outlining monthly billings and revenues received from each program on a monthly basis to the Executive Director
- Perform Financial Analysis on the Agency Revenues as requested.
- Assist the Comptroller and Chief Financial Officer as required
- Assist with the Agency annual audits
- Assist with the preparation of the CFRs and Financial Statements
- Prepare projected and actual budgets for the Agency revenues
Job Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting is required
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of governmental accounting, OPWDD regulations requirements
Familiar with Financial and Accounting Resource Guide
Ability to review and to interpret financial data
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Experience in preparation and maintenance of accounting spreadsheets utilizing
software packages
Must understand financial statements and balance sheets
Experience:
Five years of experience in accounts receivable and billing
Five years leadership and administrative experience in financial accounting
Working Conditions:
Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Ability to think clearly in stressful situations, a high stress tolerance required, and works with frequent interruptions. Frequent prolonged and irregular hours are required.
