Position Overview
The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. This role is crucial in supporting the financial health of our agency and requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Duties:
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger entries
- Prepare and send client invoices, process vendor payments, and manage expense reimbursements
- Generate monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
- Conduct bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial statements
- Utilize accounting software for efficient bookkeeping and financial management
- Collaborate with teammates to gather necessary financial information
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations regarding financial reporting
- Work closely with the agency leadership and external accountants to support financial planning and decision-making
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper in a professional services industry
- Proficiency in accounting software and Excel
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and shifting priorities
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Open to learning new tools and systems
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks effectively and maintain confidentiality
