Creates architectural solutions that articulate the business context, conceptual design, and component-level logical design. This is part of our AI transformation initiative where we are looking for an Optimization guru to help solve our optimization problems in the pricing and modeling domain which helps reduce cost of care.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Recommends new technologies based upon business value drivers and return on investment; drives new technologies towards implementation and exploitation.
• Establishes overall architecture vision for the platform and ensures specific components are appropriately designed and leveraged; contributes to the holistic vision of Enterprise Architecture.
• Understands the construction of platform architecture components and is accountable for overseeing the architecture solution design.
• Coordinates all platform-level conceptual architecture components (e.g., data architecture, application architecture, technical architecture).
• Defines, communicates, and drives security architecture design and monitors compliance to enterprise-level architectural standards.
• Defines systems, technical and application architectures for new strategic initiatives; develops and maintains an architectural blueprint and evolutionary roadmap that defines and communicates the strategic direction for these architectures in support of business and technical strategies; able to explain how the roadmap maintains and delivers cost effectiveness, business value, and competitiveness.

Requirements:

• Requires an BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field of study and a minimum of 7 years of experience in architecture/design in relevant technology disciplines; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
• Experience in health care industry strongly preferred.
• If this job is assigned to any Government Business Division entity, the applicant and incumbent fall under a `sensitive position' work designation and may be subject to additional requirements beyond those associates outside Government Business Divisions.
• Requirements include but are not limited to more stringent and frequent background checks and/or government clearances, segregation of duties principles, role specific training, monitoring of daily job functions, and sensitive data handling instructions.
• Associates in these jobs must follow the specific policies, procedures, guidelines, etc. as stated by the Government Business Division in which they are employed.
• Very strong experience needed in solving Optimization problems using PuLP and Gurobi optimizer tools.

Additional Details:

• Remote, WFH opportunity.
• Monday through Friday 9am ET to 5:00pm ET is shift - can work from 50 miles of any PulsePoint 100% remotely but should be available to work this shift.

Elevance Health operates in a Hybrid Workforce Strategy. Unless specified as primarily virtual by the hiring manager, contractors are required to work at an Elevance Health location at least once per week, and potentially several times per week. Specific requirements and expectations for time onsite will be discussed as part of the hiring process. Candidates must reside within 50 miles or 1-hour commute each way of a relevant Elevance Health location.
