What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facility Technician position at Eliot?
Eliot Community Human Services, one of Massachusetts largest non-profit agencies, is currently seeking a Facility Technician Employee. Based out of the Lynn area, the ideal candidate will:
Be VERY hands on, with through attention to detail
Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
Have thorough knowledge of safety procedures, building codes, and construction methods.
Be part of rotating on-call schedule nights/weekends in case of emergencies
General Contractor's license preferred
Have a valid driver's license
Responsibilities will include:
- Complete all work orders, routine and emergency maintenance for assigned buildings and ability to manage electronic work order system.
- Ability to perform hands on repairs to assigned locations including but not limited to light carpentry and general repairs
- Conduct routine inspections of all assigned buildings. Adhere to maintenance policies and compliance with licensing/regulatory requirements.
- Participate in special building projects as directed by the supervisor.
- Be a part of a 10 week rotation on-call schedule night and weekends (1 x every 10 weeks) in case of emergencies as necessary.
Qualifications: Minimum three years experience
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am - 4 pm
Location: Lynn area, office headquarters in Lexington, MA
Salary Range: $60,000- $70,000 based on skill set.
