What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payroll/HR Specialist position at Empire Building Diagnostics?
· Prepare and generate payroll checks/direct deposits for four companies (approx.150 employees) weekly.
· Prepare, maintain, and verify all payroll deductions, taxes, 401k, monthly allowances, Cash Fringes, Prevailing Wage, and fringe benefits are processed accurately.
· Prepare and process all weekly, quarterly, year-end tax reporting, and payments (NYSW, 941, W-2’s, ACA 1095-B).
· Prepare and process Child Support, Garnishments, and 401k weekly.
· Generate and report weekly time reports to Temp Labor agencies.
· Review and approve weekly Temp Labor invoices for payment weekly.
· Set up and maintain all personnel files, tracking items, physicals, training, and timekeeping.
· Responsible for all verifications to changes to employee records (ie: garnishments)
· Manage workflow to ensure payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely.
· Prepare and submit certified payroll reports, EEOC, workforce utilization, union, and any other requirements.
· Booking of hotels for employees for out-of-town jobs
· Maintain PTO calendar and verify PTO balances.
· Set up and maintains rates for per diem, prevailing wage, and cash fringe.
· Prepare annual reporting for 5500 filings, PFL, and Disability.
· Other duties as assigned.
· 2 or more years of experience working within the construction industry.
· Experience in construction payroll including prevailing wage and certified payroll.
· Experience using construction and payroll software programs (Spectrum Preferred).
· Ability to process and manage payroll in a confidential manner.
· Experience in uploading files for direct deposits to bank.
· Must have experience with prevailing wage law, union, and certified payroll reporting.
· Must be detail oriented and able to work under tight deadlines.
· Excellent organization skills and prioritization abilities.
· Must have strong written and communication skills.

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
