What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Manager (Cannabis Retail - Houghton Lake) position at Endo Vibe Cannabis Centers?
The Assistant Manager position directly assists the General Manager (GM), the Assistant Store Manager, and the Inventory Manager with managing and controlling the day-to-day operations of the Endo Cannabis Center according to all standard operating procedures and business practices. The position reports directly to the GM and will provide supervision, including development, training, and coaching, to all sales floor, customer service, and inventory specialists as needed. The position may also be involved in some basic merchandising of products on the sales floor. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist General Manager with all functions associated with the oversight of the provisioning center while on duty and in the General Manager’s absence
- Oversee and provide warm reception for all staff and visitors
- Assist the GM and the Inventory Manager and Specialists to perform routine inspections to maintain accurate inventory and ensure all product is placed on the sales floor in a clean, organized, and timely fashion
- Manage and supervise the activities of staff, and make recommendations or decisions regarding hiring, discipline, termination, or advancement of employees
- Train staff to ensure a consistent performance and knowledge base of company standard operating procedures, a comprehensive understanding of all products, and best practices for all team members
- Communicate any customer incidents or complaints to the General Manager promptly
- Assist in ensuring the provisioning center’s compliance with all relevant statutes, regulations, and directives in all respects, as well as best practices and company policies
- Strive for customer satisfaction in all respects and ensure a customer-friendly environment
- Troubleshooting IT issues as needed
- All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be 21 years or older and be able to pass a background check
- High school diploma or equivalent. Preference may be given to bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and experience
- 2 Years’ Experience working in a licensed Cannabis distribution/provisioning center
- 2 Years of Management experience in a retail environment
- Some basic product merchandising experience in a retail environment preferred
- Strong knowledge of retail sales and POS systems required
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced and at times high-pressure environment required
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, dependable, and able to work well both alone and with others
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Employee needs to be able to walk, sit, stand, crouch, and reach throughout the day; ability to lift up to 25lbs
