Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The requirements listed below are representative of the essential duties and responsibilities required.
- Manage and lead purchasing activities, including but not limited to sourcing strategies, risk mitigation, supplier development, and purchase-price negotiations
- Maintain and enhance the current supplier network in Asia
- Oversee importing and ensure compliance with international trade regulations, such as customs regulations, import/export restrictions, and trade agreements
- Drive initiatives to reduce costs, optimize processes, and increase efficiency
- Develop and drive the supply chain strategy aligned with company goals, including identification and qualification of new suppliers
- Monitor the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements
- Ability to travel 25%, both domestic and international, as needed to remediate a variety of issues
- Provide mentorship to the broader Materials team
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Distribution, Logistics, Business, or related field of study
- 7 years of experience in purchasing, commodity, or supplier management
- 3 years with strategic sourcing and leading supplier assessments
- 3 years as primary contract liaison with negotiation experience
- ASCM membership and CSCP certification preferred
- SAP S/4 HANA experience preferred
- Experience working in consumer goods and/or foodservice industries is preferred
