Primary Job Purpose:
As an independent agency, F&M Insurance Agency offers a variety of insurance solutions to protect what matters to customers at an effective cost. We take pride in serving our local communities while creating a culture that’s fun and fast paced. F&M Agency is seeking an individual to join our team as a Customer Service Representative (CSR). Candidates should enjoy interacting with others, have strong attention to detail and the drive to consistently provide a premier customer experience. Position Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Act as a liaison between customer and agency with the purpose of developing solid relationships. Greet walk-in customers, answer calls and emails.
2. Support a range of insurance services including policy changes, payments and claims reporting in addition to general maintenance on accounts. Maintain records of customer interactions.
3. Help manage location accounting through paying bills and commissions.
4. Learn about the variety of insurance solutions we offer and help educate customers on products and services available to them. For the right candidate, we would support obtaining insurance licensing if not already in place.
5. Support the community we serve by occasionally promoting or attending community events.
6. Perform other duties as assigned.
Typical hours are 8 or 8:30am to 4 or 5pm, Monday through Friday.
Experience/Skills
Ability to work independently in a professional setting. The position requires attention to detail to ensure our customers and the agency have accurate information. Experience with Eclipse Agency Management system preferred but not required (willing to train). Strong communication and customer service skills are required.
Education
Prefer (but not required) an Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Business or similar field of study from an accredited institution -or- equivalent work experience.
Compensation/Benefits
Pay will be based upon qualifications but we expect between $16 and $22 per hour plus the potential for bonus pay. We also offer a competitive benefits package including paid time off, federal holidays off, medical, dental, 401k, fitness reimbursement, a community volunteer program and more.
