Remote ServiceNow System Administrator - 1 Year Contract - Eastern Time Zone Required

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled ServiceNow Customer System Administrator to join our dynamic team on a remote, 1-year contract basis. This role is pivotal in ensuring the effective administration and configuration of the ServiceNow platform, with a focus on delivering exceptional IT service management solutions. Candidates must currently reside within the Eastern Time Zone of the United States.

Key Responsibilities

• Personalize and create forms and fields within the ServiceNow platform.
• Develop new applications, modules, and tables tailored to business needs.
• Activate and manage plug-ins to enhance functionality.
• Generate reports, dashboards, and homepages for operational insights.
• Establish and monitor Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and their workflows.
• Create and manage Service Catalog requests and items, incorporating variables as necessary.
• Design, monitor, and adjust Service Catalog workflows with necessary approvals.
• Facilitate the seamless importation of data into the ServiceNow instance.
• Create and utilize update sets for customization migration between instances.
• Curate and personalize the Knowledge Base to optimize information sharing.
• Implement Access Control Rules (ACL) for data governance.
• Engage in custom scripting to tailor the platform to specific requirements.
• Build integrations with third-party software applications.
• Address technical and configuration queries efficiently.
• Assist in translating business requirements into actionable technical specifications.
• Support the rollout of new applications and modules effectively.
• Oversee the ServiceNow system upgrades occurring triannually.
• Aid in troubleshooting patch and release management challenges.
  
  

Required Skills

• Proficiency in web technologies such as XML, HTML, JavaScript, AJAX, CSS, and HTTP.
• Fundamental understanding of web applications, networks, protocols, and email systems.
• Basic knowledge of ITIL v3 methodologies and their application.
• General familiarity with enterprise IT architecture.
• Working comprehension of relational databases and experience in database manipulation.
  
  

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or currently in pursuit of such a degree.
