What are the responsibilities and job description for the Spec Accounts Payable position at Fanatics, Inc.?
GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform day to day full-cycle accounts payable transactions to ensure accurate and timely payment processing
- Ensure three-way matching of purchase order, receipt, and invoice in order to accurately pay vendor obligations
- Research billing and matching discrepancies
- Ensure proper discounts are taken
- Verify transactions comply with accounting policies and procedures
- Reconcile vendor statements and respond to all vendor inquires
- Maintains all accounts payable reports, spreadsheets and corporate accounts payable files
- Assists in monthly closings
- Administrative duties and other duties as assigned
- Understand and adhere to internal controls
- Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge of EDI and three-way match preferred
- Able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision
- Strong analytical/problem solving, communication, organization, and initiative skills
- Able to multitask and detailed-oriented
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment where the ability to prioritize is key and teamwork is a must
- Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to get along with diverse personalities; tactful, mature and flexibility are required traits
- Working knowledge of MS Excel required, intermediate level skills a plus
- Must maintain good attendance
- Must maintain safe work practices
- Typing and 10 key skills required
- Must be able to work flexible hours and overtime as needed
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma required
- 2-year Accounts Payable experience or equivalent Data Entry experience
