Sitting within the Strategy and Planning Department, Planning and Integration (along with Government Relations, Host City Management, Human Rights, Sustainability and Venue Business Strategy) aims to deliver the most engaging, innovative and accessible World Cup experience for all players, fans, partners and the community.
Reporting organizationally to the Head of Client & Operational Planning, the Readiness & C4 Coordinator is responsible for delivering the FWC26 Tournament coordination and readiness strategies. The role coordinates and supports plans for the of delivery of the Tournament Operating structures and operational readiness activities. With the largest ever Tournament footprint, daily operations across three countries and a complex mix of stakeholders, readiness and Tournament coordination must be seen as an integrated objective by all entities. The role of the Readiness and C4 coordinator is critical to making this objective a reality.

THE POSITION
The main responsibilities of the Readiness & C4 Coordinator include:
- Operational Readiness
- Capture and update readiness objectives
- Co-ordinate the identification and assessment of operational risks that could have an impact to the Tournament and support the development of contingency plans with relevant stakeholders
- Capture and track lessons identified during all readiness exercises including test events, observation events etc.
- Support the integration of a readiness provider across the organisation and with external stakeholders
- Tournament governance
- Support the development of an operating structure for effective command, coordination and communication (C4) during Tournament operations
- Map Tournament stakeholders (i.e. partners, government authorities, political leadership etc.), identify the relevant points of contact to define roles and responsibilities
- Co-ordinate the development of C4 plans, policies, procedures and processes
- Confirm and source all requirements for Tournament operations centers
- Support the implementation of the FIFA Incident Management and Reporting System (IMRS)
- Prepare and distribute reports and updates to Function leads on operational capability status and progress
- During the Tournament, the role will transition into day-to-day coordination of Tournament Operations and all aspects related to the resolution of issues
YOUR PROFILE
- Bachelor’s Degree or similar level of higher education in business, project management or a related field
- Experience of complex projects/operations at the national and/or international level
- A working knowledge of major event management and event operational functions
- Experience in stakeholder communication and consultation
- Experience in structuring and analyzing large amounts of data
- Ability to identify key information requirements and effective communication/ visualization methods
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and under pressure
- High level of presentation and communication skills
- Fluent in English. Spanish and/or French proficiency is a plus
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio & Project) and planning software and online collaboration tools
