SVP COMMERCIAL BANKER OVERVIEW
Develop and support Bank growth, effectively manage a loan portfolio; build and manage key relationships; and partner with your team to meet and exceed First Western Bank’s customer needs.
- Develop and manage commercial loan portfolio and any assigned loans, including maturing loans, past due loans, exceptions, and deposits
- Conduct sales calls and meet with prospective and existing customers to build relationships and establish new loan business
- Meet with customers to request information for loan applications, including income tax records, balance sheets, and other data used by credit analysts to create loan spreadsheets; analyze applicant financial status and conduct collateral evaluations to make lending decisions; negotiate direct lending terms as well as collateral and payment structures
- Approve credits up to lending authority and prepare those credit requests that exceed lending authority for loan committee and/or Board approval
- Manage customer relationships with regular communication and follow-up contact
- Network in the community to develop relationships and create new business opportunities including commercial loans and all services of the bank
- Represent the bank in various civic and community functions to further develop or promote additional relationships
SVP Commercial Banker Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business or finance related field
- Minimum ten (10) years’ experience in bank lending, loan review, compliance, or finance
