Mission: We are a Christian community called to serve a world in need.
First Woodway Baptist Church is a multi-generational church located just outside Waco,
Texas with around 2,000 in attendance every weekend. We have 30 members on staff, and we soak everything we do in prayer. The culture is casual, friendly, and feels like family.

The Communications Team is looking to add a Communications Associate (Design) to the team by Summer 2023. If you have a good eye for aesthetics, a strong portfolio of work that is fresh and current, and a passion for Jesus, we would love to hear from you.

JOB DESCRIPTION

This position will work as a member of the Communications Team. Our team is responsible for print and digital publications, writing, photography, graphic design, storytelling, video production, website, mobile app, social media and decorating the campus for special events (Christmas, etc.).

This specific position is heavy on creative; 70-80% of the work is focused on graphic design, producing graphics for a variety of media. Other responsibilities include helping in the planning and implementation of a broad range of communications and creative initiatives and jumping in on any team responsibilities as requested.

Graphic Design & Layout:

• Print: weekly bulletin, posters, flyers, brochures, booklets, campus maps
• Branding: logos, stationery, imprints (shirts, mugs, etc)
• Environmental: large format visuals, campus wayfinding, art installations
• Digital Media: email publications, website headers, app graphics, social media graphics, powerpoint slides

Miscellaneous

• Assist the director in any number of ways to execute different projects: coordinating photo/film shoots, proofreading, researching ideas and vendors, installing themes/décor, working with volunteer teams, etc.
• Maintain an organized filing system for media/graphics and make regular file updates in monday.com
• Cross-train in all areas of responsibility for our team: Website (WordPress),
• Podcasts (SoundCloud), Vimeo, Project Management (Monday.com), EmailPublications (MailChimp), Canva, PowerPoint, Mobile App & Live Stream(Subsplash), Photography, Social Media (Instagram & Facebook), and more

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Commitment to the Kingdom mission of First Woodway, evidenced by a willingness to jump in and do whatever is needed to serve the church
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud: InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
• Degree from an accredited university or college
• The ability to work well alone and within a team environment, as well as maintain positive relationships with a variety of personalities.
• A desire to continue learning new skills; growing and evolving as new programs, apps, and resources come onto the scene.

Salary : $42,700 - $54,100
