Job Description
As our technology moves toward large-scale commercialization, we are expanding our Finance team and seeking a Senior Accountant to help build the financial infrastructure needed to support our growth. This role will report to the US Controller and play a key role in financial operations, reporting, and system improvements as we prepare for an IPO on the horizon.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong mix of accounting operations, technical accounting, and financial close experience. We are looking for someone who is eager to learn our technology and business strategy, create tools to drive execution, and continuously enhance our processes and controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Support general ledger close and ensure strong financial controls
- Analyze key performance data and contribute to management reporting & forecasting
- Assist with system and process improvements to enhance efficiency
- Collaborate across departments to drive workflows and process enhancements
- Develop and document business processes and policies
- Perform account reconciliations, financial reporting, and variance analysis
- Monitor transaction activity to ensure accurate revenue & expense recording
Qualifications
Required Experience & Skills:
- 4 years of accounting experience (public/private mix w/ CPA strongly preferred)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to process routine transactions and identify process improvements
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience with systems such as Microsoft Dynamics, Rippling HRIS, ADP, AP Smart, Concur, QuickBooks is a plus
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting
