What are the responsibilities and job description for the Association Marketing/Director of Communications position at Florida Automobile Dealers Association?
The Florida Automobile Dealers Association is seeking a high energy, tech-oriented communications director to join our small administrative team in a full-time capacity.
Job Responsibilities
- Manages the marketing of events and membership; heavy emphasis on social media in the marketing process
- Evaluating and managing relations with product and service vendors
- Handles website development and management, in-house news video editing, and email communications
- Help manage existing association automation systems, including database management and computer networking
- Planning of regional dealer/legislative meetings, including marketing and logistical support
- Liaison to the Board of Directors - filling vacancies, guiding efforts, handling meeting logistics
- Securing and managing receptions and sponsorships
- Other duties as assigned
Candidate Requirements
- Excellent web/digital media development and marketing experience.
- Proficiency with social media platforms including Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn
- Experience with video editing software, knowledge of CSS and responsive design
- Wordpress/Headway, Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver), Google Apps administration experience strongly preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work without direct supervision
- Limited travel may be required
Experience/Education
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or related field and/or industry certifications a plus
- 5 years minimum association experience
