What are the responsibilities and job description for the Surgery Scheduling Coordinator position at Florida Sports Injury and Orthopedic Institute?
Seeking a FULL TIME Surgery Scheduler for a VERY BUSY and expanding practice. Must be well organized, able to multitask, work independently, have a pleasant and positive attitude and great written and oral communication skills. Minimum of 3 years of medical office experience a must. Minimum of 3 years billing experience. Must be familiar with FLORIDA BASED INSURANCES, getting authorizations, figuring out copay's, coinsurance's and deductibles.
Knowledge and proficiency with surgery scheduling with hospital and outpatient surgery centers, insurance coding, insurance verification and authorizations.
Must have experience scheduling surgeries and the ability to interact effectively with patients, physicians and office staff.
Orthopedic experience in billing is preferred.
SKILLS REQUIRED:Strong interpersonal skills.Attention to detail to ensure that all patient information is accurate.
Must know billing, coding, medical terminology and anatomy a must!
Ability to communicate with patients to ensure excellent service and resolution of inquiries.
Desire and initiate to problem solve.
Ability to multi-task efficiently and effectively. Ability to be a strong team player.
Ability to make basic numerical calculations.
