What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bookkeeper position at Flower World?
Flower World, one of the largest nurseries on the West Coast, is looking for a Bookkeeper with a diverse background. Our employee owned company operates with a small office team that wears many hats and collaborates on a variety of tasks. As we add a new team member, we will use this time to explore innovative and new ways to approach bookkeeping functions.
This role's primary function is focused on bookkeeping and payroll activities but will require flexibility in all aspects of office day-to-day tasks.
The office uses Sage accounting software so a minimum of 1 year experience is required.
Some of the bookkeeping tasks include:
Daily sales and cash reconciliation
Bank activities including reconciliation and preparing deposits
Prepare excise tax returns quarterly and annually
Accounts payable and receivable
L & I claims processing
Payroll input and processing
Correspondence with vendors and customers regarding past due invoices.
