The Coordinator, Ministry Values position exists to perform highly diversified administrative tasks in support of the Master Writers department, requiring a comprehensive knowledge of Focus on the Family policies and procedures, as well as assisting the Medical Review department, including the successful execution of Physicians Resource Council (PRC) biannual events. Requires only general direction and works independently; refers unusual or complex problems to supervisor.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Assists with administrative duties related to correspondence and special assignments completed by the Master Writers department; requires ability to work independently and discern circumstances that require the attention of a supervisor
Assists in planning and preparing biannual PRC meetings
Possesses the skills to utilize various processes (computer programs and manual procedures) to prepare emails and mail for assigning by supervisor
Compiles reports as requested
Adjusts work schedule to meet extra demands; prioritizes tasks to complete multiple projects
Arranges meetings, assists in preparation of meeting agendas, and communicates meeting schedules
Coordinates various activities and services in support of scheduled events
Handles invoices, purchase requests, expense reports, and travel honoraria through the approval cycle for biannual PRC meetings
Keeps PRC contact records up to date
Prepares minutes of PRC meetings
Helps maintain Focus’s relationship with PRC members by sending birthday cards, anniversary cards, Christmas cards, etc.
Other Duties/Responsibilities:
Provides backup for Master Writers’ full-time Executive Assistant when needed
May be required to work weekends and overtime during biannual PRC events; must attend biannual PRC events
Performs other duties as assigned

Personal Characteristics:
Knowledge/Experience:
Specialized training and education equivalent to two years of college
3-5 years of office experience
Experience in organizing conferences, seminars, retreats or other
functions helpful
Skills, Abilities, and Special Talents/Gifts:
Ability to safeguard the ministry's integrity when handling confidential information
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to communicate effectively (oral and written); frequently interfaces with individuals in
executive positions: complete discretion, courtesy, and tact required when dealing with
individuals on telephone and in person
Ability to establish and maintain rapport with various levels of staff across the ministry
(Contacts will extend to the Office of the President)
Ability to work well with others in a quiet environment
Ability to work independently
Strong planning and organizational skills
Ability to handle multiple projects and to meet strict deadlines

Proficient in the use of computer hardware and software, office equipment such as copiers, and use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Pay Range: $17.00 to $19.75/hr
