Landscape designer

Forever Green Landscape Center, formerly Martin Landscaping is seeking a landscape designer to join our growing team.

Martin Landscaping was established in Cedar Lake, Indiana in 1982. The Forever Green family of services, established in 1999, acquired the landscape center in November 2020 and are looking to grow the business. Forever Green Landscape Center offers design, build, and aesthetic solutions for homeowners looking to establish new landscape or redesign their current landscape. Our family of services includes: lawn care, tree/shrub care, irrigation, landscape lighting, pest control.

We are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic, landscape designer to join our team.

Applicants should possess the following:

· 1 years’ experience in landscape design preferred, not required

· Experience using CAD based landscape design programs, i.e., Uvision 3D Landscape Creator, PRO Landscape

· High level of plant knowledge

· Excellent communication skills needed in dealing with landscape crews and customers

· Basic understanding / familiarity with hardscape products, i.e., Belgard, TechoBloc

· Spanish speaking / understanding is a plus, not required

Responsibilities will include:

· Creating full landscape/outdoor living plans - patios, walls, water features, kitchens, landscape beds, plantings, lighting, etc.

· One on one meetings with the clients, in-person or virtually to identify needs

· Closing landscape sales

· Follow up on proposals and leads

· Assembling materials list for ordering

· Coordination with site foreman

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Sketchup: 1 year (Preferred)
• AutoCAD: 1 year (Preferred)
