Forks Lath & Plaster (FLP) is currently seeking a motivated and detail oriented individual to lead our financial strategy and operations. This position is full time and will be on-site.
The Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing financial operations, managing cash flow, ensuring compliance, and leading the finance and accounting operations. The Financial Controller will play a key role in driving financial efficiency and supporting strategic decision-making for our projects.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation and delivery of accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Review and analyze financial results to provide insights on performance, trends, and areas for improvement
- Manage and monitor financial aspects of construction projects, including job costing, cost control, and project profitability analysis
- Develop and implement effective internal controls to safeguard the company’s assets and ensure financial integrity
- Manage tax filings, including corporate income tax, sales tax, payroll tax, and other relevant taxes
- Manage accounts payable and receivable accounts
- Ensure that project-related financial transactions, including billing and invoicing, are accurate and timely
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Finance Controller, Financial Manager, or similar role in the construction industry
- Strong understanding of construction finance, including job costing, progress billing, project profitability analysis, and cost controls
- In-depth knowledge of financial reporting standards, tax regulations, and industry-specific accounting practices
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
