This role is located in Louisville, KY. The candidate must be onsite full-time AND fluent in English and Spanish.

As a Human Resource Generalist, you’ll wear many hats—recruiter, onboarding champion, employee advocate, and compliance pro. You’ll guide new team members through their first days, foster professional growth, and help ensure employees feel supported. Whether it’s answering questions, resolving concerns, or launching new initiatives, you’ll be the go-to resource for our team, helping create a work environment where everyone can thrive.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists with the maintenance and execution of the new hire onboarding and orientation
- Assists with Employee Development strategy and initiatives, including coordinating HR-related training to employees, as directed
- Assists with developing, tracking, and upholding compliance with Company HR policies and procedures. Responsibilities include communicating any issues to the HR leadership, proposing solutions to HR-related issues, and assisting with approved solution implementation
- Ensures appropriate reporting of state and federal documentation required (i.e., e-verification, new hire reporting, etc.)
- Assists with and provides support of employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high-level mutual respect, fairness, and employee morale
- Supports and counsels management and supervisors on performance coaching, personnel matters, and concerns to ensure consistency and maintain a positive work environment
- Collaborates with other HR team members and operations leaders to effectively and consistently execute business priorities
- Facilitates information between compensation and benefits management
- Assists with maintaining the Company’s HRIS system and develops and issues reports as needed (i.e., job titles, annual reviews, etc.)
- Assists with unemployment claims process, as directed
- Ensures personnel files and other documentation are retained in the HRIS as required
- Manages or supports employee engagement activities, such as surveys, recognition programs, and team-building initiatives, to drive employee satisfaction and retention
- Manages the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding, to attract and retain top talent while ensuring staffing needs align with organizational goals
- Stays updated on HR trends, best practices, and legislative changes to ensure compliance and bring innovative solutions to the organization
- Supports internal investigations and assists in resolving complex employee relations issues in a fair and consistent manner
- Leads or assists with DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) initiatives, ensuring HR policies and practices support an inclusive workplace environment
- Flexible to respond to requests and other duties as needed
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in a Human Resources position required
- Must be fluent in English and Spanish, with exceptional bilingual communication skills
- Experience with Paylocity or other HRIS
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented
- Ability to demonstrate resourcefulness and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and team player
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to handle a high level of confidential information
- Experience working with Google Suite and MS Office
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree and/or professional HR certification preferred (PHR or SHRM-CP)
