Key Responsibilities
- Deliver both direct and indirect instruction to students, catering to individual, small group, and whole-group settings through approved curricula and virtual learning tools.
- Oversee a caseload of identified students, implementing effective interventions while closely monitoring their progress.
- Collaborate with general education teachers to create appropriate accommodations and modifications that enable all students to engage with the curriculum.
- Maintain precise and current records of student performance, behaviors, and intervention strategies.
- Actively participate in professional development opportunities to stay abreast of best practices in special education.
- Formulate and execute educational plans that address both immediate and long-term student needs.
- Consistently assess student progress and adjust teaching methods to ensure success.
- Foster an engaging and innovative learning atmosphere that promotes academic growth.
- Design digital curriculum resources for foundational-level courses in mathematics and English language arts tailored for middle and high school students.
- Communicate and collaborate with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders to facilitate the Individualized Education Program (IEP) process.
- Write, review, and ensure compliance with IEPs while managing your designated caseload.
- Work in collaboration with grade-level teams to exchange best practices and discuss student progress, supporting overall mastery of academic standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with students’ families through regular communication, meetings, and conferences.
- Ability to adapt instructional methods to meet the unique needs of individual students and achieve end-of-year academic goals.

- Ability to successfully undergo a series of background checks including current FBI fingerprints, PA Criminal, and Child Abuse clearances.
