Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a comprehensive sales pipeline from inception, identifying improvement opportunities and implementing effective strategies to achieve sales targets.
- Propel new business development while providing mentorship to the sales team, fostering revenue generation.
- Recruit, onboard, and train a high-performing sales staff, establishing programs that enhance quotation efficiency and accuracy.
- Lead and supervise the current sales team, ensuring seamless operations and adherence to customer contract obligations.
- Oversee the formulation and management of sales budgets to maximize profitability.
- Manage the bid bonding process and secure contracts for municipal projects.
- Build strong customer relationships, securing approvals for service and installation activities at client sites.
- Set ambitious annual goals for the sales team and inspire them to achieve these targets.
- Analyze market trends and competitor movements, providing precise sales forecasts.
- Anticipate and address customer needs, improving satisfaction through timely and effective resolutions.
- Create metrics and sales reports for feedback to the executive leadership team.
- Administer the effective use of the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to streamline operations.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Proficient knowledge of electromechanical rotating equipment and a solid track record in new business development within the medium voltage motor market.
- 10-15 years of experience in medium and/or high voltage industrial motor sales with demonstrated success in leading sizable sales teams and enhancing sales processes.
- Strong relationship management skills with a history of establishing long-term partnerships with clients.
- Familiarity with municipal contracts and a sound understanding of the bidding process.
- Experience with CRM platforms (PipeDrive preferred) for managing sales activity.
- Ability to assess the market landscape and devise effective sales and marketing strategies.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and customer service skills, coupled with a professional demeanor.
- Self-driven with excellent organizational and strategic planning capabilities.
- A proven history of achieving top-line sales growth and relevant experience in estimating large motor sales or repair projects is advantageous.
