Technology & Product Vice President

Job Overview

We are in search of a seasoned and dedicated Vice President of Technology Operations to spearhead our Technology Group. In this pivotal leadership position, you will manage the program portfolio and ensure that our technology teams are effectively staffed, well-trained, and inspired to achieve excellence. You will collaborate closely with fellow leaders to synchronize recruitment strategies, assess staffing requirements, and enable efficient resource management. Your leadership will be instrumental in cultivating best practices for reporting, forecasting, and program delivery throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with leaders throughout the Technology Group to establish recruitment strategies aligned with product roadmaps, ensuring comprehensive recruitment plans are in place.
• Assess team capacity to identify risks and opportunities, setting contingency plans to tackle potential challenges.
• Partner with leadership to standardize job roles and descriptions and share effective practices for technology team recruitment.
• Work across various functions to delineate clear career progression paths and identify training requirements for a consistent approach.
• Align capacity plans with financial goals, working in conjunction with the finance team to identify and mitigate budget-related risks.
• Provide strategic oversight and reporting for the technology program portfolio, establishing best practices for delivery and governance.
• Champion tools and systems that promote transparency and facilitate effective decision-making across the organization.
• Collaborate with other PMOs to ensure cross-functional alignment and manage interdependencies between projects.
• Develop and implement a communication strategy to keep teams informed of company and industry developments, enhancing engagement across all technology teams.
• Lead the communications team in crafting clear, executive-friendly messaging tailored to diverse audiences.
• Support department-wide objectives, initiatives, and goals, ensuring success metrics are tracked and feedback integrated.
• Assist with onboarding, recruitment, and engagement efforts across the technology division.

• Data-driven management approach with a solid understanding of financial principles and reporting mechanisms.
• Expertise in creating repeatable processes for enterprise-wide decision-making.
• Comprehensive knowledge of program management best practices, particularly in the digital and OTT technology sectors.
• Experience in agile software delivery at an enterprise level.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate strategy, concepts, and execution plans to all organizational levels.
• Proven ability to delegate effectively while maintaining oversight and empowering team members.
  
  

Qualifications

• A minimum of 12 years of experience in project management or technology delivery, preferably within media, technology, or OTT sectors.
• At least 4 years of experience leading cross-functional teams and managing large-scale programs in a fast-paced setting.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required; a background in technology or engineering is advantageous.
