GBSI is seeking an Information Technology (IT) professional for the role of Senior Operations Analyst in Huntsville, AL to provide logistics, aerial target operations, and project management support. The selected candidate will support an Aerial Target portfolio of products to include but not limited to the Aerial Target Flight Services (ATFS), High Speed Arieal Targets, and the Small Unmanned Aerial Systems (SUAS). The successful candidate will be responsible for providing direct support to the Aerial Target Project Directors, successfully executing various types of aerial target flight operations requirements at both CONUS and OCONUS locations.
The Senior Operations Analyst will be responsible for assisting the Government in all functions of logistics, event planning and coordination, transportation, documentation, and onsite support and review for aerial target flight operations. The ideal candidate should be well versed in the logistics, fielding, operations, and maintenance of full-scale, functional hardware/software simulators and foreign threat systems supporting test, evaluation & training. The successful candidate will be responsible for obtaining target requirements from specified DoD entities, to include FMS customers in need of Aerial Threat & Target support, as well as conducting site visits to determine feasibility for equipment and target launch and/or recovery locations.
Responsibilities
- Reviews and evaluates program related components such as engineering, procurement, logistics, sustainment planning, fielding, and configuration management;
- Coordinates high speed Aerial Target support, range & airspace time, operational test support, and live fire training exercises;
- Performs project management activities to include planning, scheduling, organizing and directing internal and external resources to keep projects/events on cost and schedule;
- Conducts site visits to determine the feasibility for equipment and target launch/recovery locations;
- Analyzes test and training requirements against current threat operational fleet products to provide the correct mix of threat platforms for events;
- Submits post mission reports and final After Action Reports (AAR); provides input on mission cost estimates, travel cost projections, procurement, and contract actions;
- Prepares information briefs for stakeholders and leadership to make decisions to support test and training events;
- Prepares cost estimates and defines equipment requirements for the support of test and training events.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, in a relevant field is required;
- Ten (10) years of industry accepted experience is required; Fifteen (15) years' experience may be considered in lieu of degree;
- DoD-issued Top Secret Security Clearance is required at start, with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI eligibility;
- Possesses a strong working knowledge of unmanned aerial target operations, equipment, capabilities, and procedures is required;
- Strong working knowledge of logistics and operations is a must;
- Ability to travel up to 40% of the time to both CONUS and OCONUS locations is required;
- Experience with threat systems and threat operations is preferred;
- Experience in military logistics and/or military operations is preferred;
- Experience supporting DoD acquisition programs is preferred.
