We are a growing home care agency hiring more Home Health Aides for the upcoming month. Our ideal candidates have experience in providing assistance with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressings, and meal preparation. Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- HHA Certificate (preferred)
- One year-full time experience
- Must have a criminal history check conducted prior to being offered a position with the agency.
- CPR and First Aid certifications is a plus
- Completion of PPD Test and fingerprint check.
Qualifications:
- Evidence of sympathetic attitude toward elderly care
- Proven aptitude for reading, writing, and following instructions.
- Evidence of maturity and ability to deal effectively with job demands.
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work closely supervised to ensure competence in providing client care.
- Must be professional, dependable, and have a passion for caregiving and a desire to help others.
- Must be neat in appearance and practice good personal hygiene.
Responsibilities:
- Provide personal hygiene assistance
- Help clients take prescribed medication
- Assist clients with ambulation
- Assist with personal care and hygiene, plan and prepare meals
- Complete client’s shopping or accompany them to do so successfully
- Perform housekeeping duties and report any unusual incidents
- Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
- Other duties as assigned
- Assess and communicate with ill clients, co-workers, and the general public.
