Job Summary: The LPN provides professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long-term care, under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician. This includes demonstrating knowledge of nursing principles, competency in performing testing to evaluate resident data, and administering medications or treatments as ordered.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to healthcare professionals as needed
- Contribute to the assessment of residents and document interactions and outcomes
- Counsel residents, family members, and/or resident advocates on prevention and treatment plans
- Develop and implement self-care programs based on resident education principles
Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred
- Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges
